The idea of this project developed as a result of several challenges met by Monique the Director Ray of Hope Ministries as far back as 1982 immediately she got married.
The overwhelming problems in the community like HIV/AIDS scourge, poverty, moral decadence, civil wars especially in the northern part of the country. The effects however have spread to most of the regions in the country especially the central where Kampala the capital city is situated.
The Ray of Hope Medical Center had its humble beginnings in 1984, in a small room in the home of Mr. & Mrs. Mubiru (Directors), after they realized the great need for medical services in the Ugandan community. The first and second floors are now completed and have already brought medical help to hundreds of people in need. By the end of the month of June 2010 the second phase of the hospital, will be completed. While the third phase of construction proceeds, Monique and her staff of four nurses and two local doctor's will treat patients.
