She was a young girl and a very quiet church member who was facing challenges yet shy to come out and ask for help? Sometimes she wrote me (Monique) notes to appreciate the sermons but she gave them to ushers to bring them and remained unanimous. She made very nice crochet table cloths and gave them to me as gifts.
All along i requested to see this person who was being nice to me but she would not come out. Time came when her aunt who was paying her school fees ran out money and she was told she won’t be able to continue with school after her senior four that is when we became close with Rachael.
Rachael and her siblings lost both parents to AIDS when they were very young. The neighbors helped them with the little they could until a well-wisher decided to take Rachael to educate her up to senior four.
Rachael joined our sponsorship program where she was educated in an institution to become a laboratory technician. She finished school and got married last year. They are expecting their first baby. Rachael got a job working with Hospital upcountry. She can now help her young sister go to school.
